Welcome to IAATI!
IAATI is the International Association of Auto Theft Investigators. This is the web site of the Australasian Branch.
The Australasian Branch was founded in 1993 by Sergeant Sue Maxwell of the Queensland Police Service and Senior Constable Craig Petterd of the Australian Federal Police.
IAATI is a non-profit volunteer based organisation formed to provide training, education and support to professionals involved in the detection, investigation and reduction of vehicle theft. Membership of IAATI is open to people in the insurance industry, law enforcement, vehicle manufacturing, private investigation, transport authorities, forensic and related fields.
Members have
access to a world wide network of professionals working in the
same field by virtue of regular meetings and a membership
directory. The directory contains contact details of almost 3,500
IAATI members worldwide making assistance available in most
countries. Regular seminars, conferences, magazines and
newsletters provide the opportunity to network with other members
and keep up with the latest developments.
Please read the about us page for more information on IAATI.
